Blues chief hails 'learning' hitman
Alex McLeish claims striker Cameron Jerome has been 'tremendous' and has backed him to start scoring regularly for Birmingham.
The powerful frontman has failed to score a goal in the last five matches, but he has played an important role within the side to help the Blues go on an unbeaten run. And Blues boss McLeish feels last season's 11-goal top-scorer will soon start finding the net if he continues playing to the same standards.
He said: "We've been quite unlucky chance-wise but guys like Jerome have to keep on believing.
"Cameron's form has been tremendous and it is surely going to happen for him (in front of goal).
"Everyone knows about the tremendous work rate he puts in game after game.
"He got 11 goals last season and he is getting some chances now and I thought he has been unlucky.
"There was one situation in the recent game with Aston Villa where Cameron was as calm as I've seen him in front of goal.
"You can see the education is getting through and he is learning the game."
