Ramage boost for Blues
Peter Ramage is expected to be fit as Birmingham continue their promotion push at bottom-club Portsmouth.
The full-back was replaced after 53 minutes of Saturday's 3-0 victory over Middlesbrough having struggled with tonsillitis all week, ensuring Blues finished a second successive match with three recognised centre-backs across defence.
Ramage's expected recovery for the trip to Fratton Park is a welcome boost with right-backs Jonathan Spector (thigh) and Stephen Carr (knee) already ruled out for the immediate future.
Left-back David Murphy made a welcome return from his hip problem to start against Boro and will again be available, easing manager Chris Hughton's problems at full-back.
On-loan striker Erik Huseklepp is ineligible to face his parent club while midfielder Jordon Mutch serves the final game of his three-match suspension.
