Striker bid mooted

Birmingham City are reportedly planning a bid for Fulham hotshot Bobby Zamora as they look to strengthen for next season.

The former Brighton and West Ham striker has been on fire this term leading to calls for his selection in the England squad.

However, the Cottagers would be loathed to sell him after the role he has played in helping the club to final of the Europa League.

Blues boss Alex McLeish has made no secret of his desire to bolster his side, particularly in attack and will test the water with £5.75m bid for the 29-year-old according to The People.
