Kazim-Richards may make Rovers return
Gary Bowyer could be boosted by the return of Colin Kazim-Richards as he begins his second spell in caretaker charge of Blackburn this season against Blackpool.
David Bentley (knee) is also back in training, while Martin Olsson (eye) and his twin brother Markus (hamstring) could further ease the burden of an injury crisis that crippled Rovers in the closing weeks of Appleton's tenure.
Right-backs Adam Henley (hamstring) and Bradley Orr (ribs), midfielder Dickson Etuhu (knee), forward DJ Campbell (ankle) and goalkeeper Paul Robinson (back) all remain in the treatment room.
Bowyer oversaw three wins and a draw in four matches before Michael Appleton's appointment for a 67-day reign that was ended by his shock sacking last week.
Turkey international Kazim-Richards has not featured since suffering an ankle injury during February's goalless draw with Leeds but Bowyer expects him to be around the matchday squad.
