Coyle sets survival target

Owen Coyle says Bolton need to pick up another two wins to guarantee their place in the Premier League next season.

The Trotters remain five points away from safety following last night's narrow 1-0 defeat at Chelsea and many believe that just one more win from their remaining four games should be enough.

However Coyle is erring on the side of caution and wants another six points to make absolutely sure. Bolton travel to Stoke this weekend but have home games on the horizon against Portsmouth and Birmingham when two wins would secure their Premier League future for another season.

"I thought the lads deserved to leave Chelsea with at least a point but we have to replicate that now in the last four games," Coyle revealed. "We have set that standard.

"In the group of teams we are in, I believe two wins would guarantee us Premier League football.

"We can't think 'one more' because it might not be enough. But I am confident that if we reproduce that standard of football, then we will get the points to stay up. I am sure of that."
