Denmark international Braithwaite only joined Boro last summer from Toulouse but, after failing to settle into life in the Championship, he joined Bordeaux on deadline-day in January.
The 26-year-old has yet to score from six Ligue 1 appearances but he has already revealed his desire to stay at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux after adjusting to life back in France quickly.
‘I want to stay here,’ he told GOLD FM, a local radio station. ‘I can see there are good players here, in a very good club. So I see myself carrying on, because I feel very good here and well integrated, but it’s easy because everyone is so nice.’
It is unclear whether a future fee was inserted into Braithwaite’s loan deal but, with the Dane not in Boro’s first-team plans, it is thought a cut-price deal can be sorted during the summer window.
Mikel Merino believes he can fulfil his dreams of playing for Spain while at Newcastle United.
Leicester seem destined to miss out on Bouna Sarr as the defender has stressed he intends to remain with Marseille.
Stoke have reportedly fined Erik Pieters two weeks' wages for breaking a club curfew before Saturday's home defeat against Everton.
