Defender pushing for Cherries return

Eddie Howe is likely to rotate his squad for Bournemouth's EFL Cup tie against Preston with Tyrone Mings in line to feature.
The Cherries manager has no new injury problems following Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Manchester City and therefore has a fully-fit squad to choose from for the third-round tie.
Howe has tended to make changes for cup encounters and Tuesday's match will be no different, with the likes of Nathan Ake, Brad Smith, Benik Afobe and Adam Federici expected to come into the starting line-up.
Assistant boss Jason Tindall has also confirmed defender Mings and midfielder Emerson Hyndman will be involved with the matchday squad.
Mings has not featured for Bournemouth since suffering a double cruciate ligament injury last season, while Hyndman is still waiting to make his debut following his move from Fulham.
Tindall believes that, with a bigger squad now, rotating the team should not mean a weakened Bournemouth side take to the field on Tuesday.
"We've always made changes in cup competitions. We're great believers in the players we've got in our squad and we will always pick a team we feel is going to win the game," he said.
"Having a bigger squad is great and it's a position we've never really been in before. We're very fortunate to have a lot of good players available to us."
