Eddie Howe has jumped to the defence of midfielder Jack Wilshere after he was criticised for his performance against Manchester City.
The Arsenal loanee was caught in possession on a number of occasions and gave the ball away before committing a foul which led to the first goal of the game.
Eventually Howe took Wilshere off after 68 minutes but was quick to point out that he was not the only one to be blamed in an all round poor performance by the Cherries.
"You can’t blame one individual,’ said Howe. "As a team we didn’t function very well.
"We didn’t give our attacking players the scope to get into the game.We said when we signed Jack we want to get him near their goal and see his creative ability, and I think if you put him in their team, you’d see a different performance from him."
