Promoter Eddie Hearn believes that Anthony Crolla can become a superstar if he beats Jorge Linares on Saturday.
The Manchester-born fighter is set to make the second defence of his WBA lightweight title in front of a home crowd against the three-weight world champion Linares on Saturday.
Crolla has admitted that this will be the biggest test of his career and Hearn agrees this fight could be the one to prove his ability.
Hearn has been impressed with Crolla’s progression since winning his title 10 months ago and feels Saturday’s trip to the ring is a chance to elevate his career to the next level.
"It's a huge fight, there is something about Anthony Crolla," he said.
"He's the nicest man in boxing but it all used to seem a little jovial, like he couldn't believe he was here.
"A win on Saturday turns him into a superstar. I think this is to be fight of the year, this victory."
