The Bolton-born boxer has not fought since May 2016 when he lost to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez but he could be back in action before the year is out.
He was asked about a possible future showdown with fellow Brit Brook, who lost to Errol Spence in May, but Khan says he is not considering taking on the Sheffield-based man just yet although he admits a future showdown would interest him.
"For me and Kell Brook at the moment, I think the fight could be bigger if we both get a couple of wins," Khan told Sky Sports.
"If we get a couple of wins, I think it will be a massive fight. It will be a big fight now, but it will be a massive fight if we wait maybe another fight.
"One hundred per cent, I would love that fight."
Khan is sure he has a bright future in boxing and is being tipped to take on Danny Garcia or Lamont Peterson after an appearance in December against an as-yet unnamed opponent.
"I think it's time now where I come back and I shine I'm only 30 years old. People forget how old I am. I'm at the peak of my career now.
"I can't wait to get back into the ring and I want to fight December time."
