The 25-year-old has turned out in all 11 of Brighton’s Premier League engagements so far this term, starting eight times, to help them to eighth place in the table.
Brighton appear to have adapted quickly to life in the top flight but they will face another tough test when they return to action after the international break against Stoke.
Knockaert believes a strong team spirit has been key to their start in 2017-18, but insists they will continue to just focus on one game at a time as they look to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
“We have great organisation and the gaffer insists that we keep a good shape. The players give everything on the pitch and our team spirit is amazing,” Knockaert told Brighton’s official website.
“But we need to stay focused and not think we’ve done everything already. There are a lot of important games to play - Stoke at home is the next one and we’ll need another great performance.
“We’re not focused on what’s going to happen over the next few games, we’re just focused on the next one and that’s going to be key for us this season.”
