Poyet up for derby clash
Brighton boss Gus Poyet has been left in no doubt of the importance of Tuesday night's clash with Crystal Palace.
And Poyet told the club's official website: "I've played in a few derby games and the north London derby was something special.
"I've also had the chance to play in a charity game between ex-Palace players and ex-Brighton players, and it showed that there is something special in there. I like that.
"I would have liked to play in these games and I'm sure the players are aware of it and how much it means to the fans."
The Seagulls' promotion from npower League One last term sees the renewal of one of English football's lesser known but most fiercely contested derby clashes.
Palace will make the short trip down the A23 to take on their rivals for the first time in nearly six years, and will also be visiting Brighton's new Amex Stadium for the first time.
