Seagulls support impresses Ryan

Brighton goalkeeper Matt Ryan has admitted he has been shocked by the sound the home supporters have made so far this season.

The Seagulls faithful were in fine voice during their side's last Premier League home outing, cheering Chris Hughton's men on to a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United before the international break.

With Everton set to travel to the Amex Stadium on Sunday, Australian keeper Ryan has hailed the Brighton fans for their support during their Premier League journey so far.

He was quoted by The Argus, saying: "That's one of the things that has taken me by storm. I don't know what the decibels are in that stadium, but when we have scored or at crucial moments the roof just lifts off from our supporters.

"It was another record (crowd). When you are winning games, keeping a clean sheet and having atmospheres like that are some of the sweetest moments you can have as a footballer."
