Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra is set for a period on the sidelines after picking up an adductor injury.
Bartra lasted just 10 minutes of Dortmund's 5-1 win at Wolfsburg on Tuesday night and will now be assessed by the club's medical team.
Boss Thomas Tuchel admitted afterwards that the 25-year-old is already a major doubt for Friday's clash with Freiburg and he could be ruled out for a longer period when the injury is looked at further.
"He's got adductor problems," Tuchel said after the win. "He felt something during warm-up. It disappeared and it came back when he played a pass. Intuitively, I'd say it will be very, very tight for the Freiburg match."
Following the Freiburg match, Dortmund are back in Champions League action next Tuesday when they host European champions Real Madrid.
