Perisic closing in on Bayern move

Bayern Munich
BBC Sport reporter David Ornstein has revealed that Arsenal's proposed loan move for Ivan Perisic is off.

Bayern Munich are on the verge of signing Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, reports claim.

Croatia international Perisic has been tipped to leave Inter all summer after new manager Antonio Conte made it clear during pre-season he doesn’t think the winger fits his style of play.

Manchester United were said to be weighing up an offer for the 30-year-old, but the Red Devils decided against a move after they signed Welshman Daniel James from Swansea City instead.

It is now emerging that Bundesliga champions Bayern have moved to the head of the queue and are expected to announce the Split-born star’s arrival over the weekend.

Perisic, who has been left out of Inter’s squad for the friendly against Valencia on Saturday evening, will reportedly join the Bavarians on a season-long loan with an option to buy for 30million euros.

The winger will be embarking on his third spell in Germany, having played for Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg earlier in his career.
