Bayern defender wanted by Fenerbahce
Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng could finally end his time at the club by signing for Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.
The German international’s future has been in doubt over the last 12 months and he’s been told on more than one occasion he is free to leave the Allianz Arena if he can get himself fixed up with a new club.
The 30-year-old was once a key player for the Bavarians but has hardly figured in the last three seasons and a switch to Turkey would offer him the opportunity to get his career back on track at a time when he needs to be playing first-team football.
The arrivals of Lucas Hernandez and Benjamin Pavard have also resulted in him slipping even further out of favour at Bayern.
Bayern are keen on a permanent deal and are asking for a figure of 20million euros, but it is thought that Fener are trying to negotiate a deal to take him on loan initially with the option to buy.
Fener have already signed Mathias Jorgensen from Huddersfield Town this summer, but want further reinforcements and Boateng is a top target.
