Bayern ace hails Coutinho arrival
Robert Lewandowski believes Philippe Coutinho can be the difference as Bayern Munich look to go deep in the Champions League this season.
The Brazilian has arrived on a season-long loan deal from Barcelona and made his debut when coming on as a second-half substitute in the 3-0 win over Schalke.
Lewandowski scored a hat-trick in that game and has already seen enough from Coutinho to know he will be an excellent signing.
Bayern are looking to do well in Europe this season, as well as the Bundesliga, and Coutinho could be the difference.
“His final pass is insane,” Lewandowski told Bild. “He can be the key in important games, especially in the Champions League, that special something.
“We become more unpredictable through him and that makes us more dangerous. He can play as a 10, outside on the left, if necessary also on the right. We can play with one or two sixes, with tens or two eights. We have more options now.”
