Muller eyeing Bayern exit – Report

Bayern Munich
AC Milan and city rivals Inter are believed to be interested in signing Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller this summer.

Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller is believed to be keen on a move away from the Allianz Arena in the January transfer window.

The experienced forward, who has eight Bundesliga titles to his name with the Bavarian giants, has fallen down the pecking order this season under manager Niko Kovac.

With Bayern bringing Brazil star Philippe Coutinho to the club over the summer, Muller has not been in the starting line-up for any of his side’s last five games.

Reports have suggested all is not well between the Weilheim in Oberbayern-born star and manager Kovac and that the player is eyeing a move away from his boyhood team.

The 30-year-old has been linked with an exit from Bayern in the past, with Manchester United connected with the attacker over the years.

United could well keep tabs on the situation going into the January window, especially considering their current plight in the Premier League and struggles in front of goal.

With Muller still making an impact from the bench, Bayern won’t be too eager to push the player out of the door during the winter window but the forward could look to force an exit from the reigning German champions.

The versatile forward has endured a tough couple of seasons, with his international career as part of the Germany squad seemingly at an end after a disappointing World Cup in Russia last year.
