Hamburg to let striker leave

Hamburg are considering allowing striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga leave the club and move to Leeds United in the English second tier.

The 25-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements at Hamburg for the new season and they are ready to compensate him for lost wages in order to get a move.

Lasogga made his name at Hertha Berlin before moving to Hamburg but he only netted twice for the side last season, although he has scored 30 in 107 games for the club which is not a bad ratio, and is deemed surplus to requirements by manager Markus Gisdol.

Leeds are rebuilding under their new boss Thomas Christiansen and Lasogga could be the latest in a long line of new recruits.
