Muller calls for Bayern focus

Thomas Muller says Bayern Munich must produce a response after Saturday's disappointing 2-2 home draw against Mainz.

Bayern, who are aiming for a fifth consecutive Bundesliga title, are on a poor run of form at the moment and the draw at the Allianz Arena has extended their winless run to four matches across all competitions.

The German giants lost both Champions League quarter-final legs to Real Madrid whilst there was a 0-0 draw away at Bayer Leverkusen recorded in between those two defeats.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men are under some pressure going into the DFB Pokal semi-final against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday and failure to make the final would be a huge disappointment.

Muller, who has only scored four times from 25 league appearances this season, admits his side need to pick themselves up and get back to winning ways in the cup competition.

“We have to look ahead; on Wednesday we have a very important game,” he told “Getting to the final in Berlin is our big goal apart from winning the league title. We have our sights set on that.”
