Nagelsmann happy at Hoffenheim

Julian Nagelsmann insists he is happy in his current role with Hoffenheim amid speculation that he is being lined up by Bayern Munich.

The 30-year-old has made a name for himself after accepting his first role in management with Hoffenheim in February 2016.

Nagelsmann ensured the club avoided relegation during his first few months in charge and he then guided Hoffenheim to a fourth place finish in 2016-17.

Reports have suggested that he is on Bayern Munich’s radar as they look to find a long-term replacement for Carlo Ancelotti, however, he insists he hasn’t been contacted by the German giants.

Nagelsmann said: “I think it’s comical how this is reported.

“There’s no inquiry, no offer and zero contact from my side. It’s bad for you that there are no facts but many fictional things to write about.

“I’ve been coaching at Hoffenheim for seven years and every day I’m thrilled to be able come here and work with this team. I’m very happy to be at Hoffenheim.”
