Opare has impressed since joining the Bundesliga side from Portuguese outfit Porto in 2015 and a number of clubs including Stoke and Leicester have been heavily linked with a swoop.
The full-back is due to fall out of contract at the end of the season and there have been suggestions that Augsburg are keen to cash in rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.
However the 27-year-old has spoken of his desire to stay and is hoping to pen a new deal.
“These are just rumours,” Opare told Kicker. “My advisor and my big brother are taking care of these things. They are in good conversations with Augsburg.
“I’m ready to extend my contract and I’d be glad to be able to play here for several more years.”
