Reds in Keita talks over early move

RB Leipzig and Liverpool have reportedly spoken about the possibility of Naby Keita moving to Anfield in January.

Last summer the Reds agreed a deal with Leipzig to sign the central midfielder but allowed him to remain at the Red Bull Arena for the 2017-18 campaign before moving to Merseyside on July 1 this year.

However, Sky Sports News are reporting that there have been talks between all parties concerned about bringing forward the move to the current transfer window.

Reports in Germany claim the youngster will play his final game for last season’s Bundesliga runners-up when they face Schalke on Saturday before completing his move to Liverpool on Sunday.

Both sporting director Ralf Rangnick and manager Ralph Hasenhuttl have both recently played down suggestions that the Guinea international will leave in the current transfer window, but there is no smoke without fire and very few surprises in football any more.
