Robben staying at Bayern

Arjen Robben says he will not leave Bayern Munich for Manchester United this summer as he is happy at the club.

Since the Red Devils' appointment of Louis van Gaal as their new manager in May, a number of the Netherlands squad he took to the World Cup have been linked with possibly joining him at Old Trafford.

Robben admits he has spoken to the 62-year-old about a potential return to the Premier League following his previous spell at Chelsea, but insists he is happy to remain at Bayern.

"He said I could always come to Manchester United," he said. "I have a special bond with him. He is the most important coach in my career.

"It is not an option, though. I will stay at Bayern Munich."
