Striker boost for Leipzig

RB Leipzig star striker Timo Werner is in contention for a recall to the first team for the clash with Borussia Dortmund.

Head coach Ralph Hasenhüttl confirmed the 21-year-old, who missed Germany’s World Cup qualifiers after picking up a neck injury in a Champions League game, is fit and available again, according to the club’s Twitter acount.

Werner has scored six goals in eight caps for Germany, while he has found the back of the net five times in six Bundesliga outings this season so his return to the side is a major boost as he missed the win over Cologne last time out.
