Pope has impressed between the sticks following the injury to first-choice keeper Tom Heaton last month, and the former Charlton shot stopper has been rewarded with a new three-year contract extension with the Lancashire outfit.
Dyche has been pleased with Pope's form of late and feels the keeper will improve further, the more experience he gets with the Clarets.
“We were already in discussions with Nick before he had the chance to start the games he has done recently and we’re pleased they have been finalised,” he was quoted by the Burnley Express.
“He had been working hard to continue his development out of the team. He is continuing that since he got into the side and we look forward to him progressing further as an important member of the squad.”
