Congerton keeping eye on home

Celtic's head of recruitment Lee Congerton says the club won't forget their roots when looking at transfers this summer.

Celtic often scour the market for cheaper options when trying to strengthen their squad and that was highlighted once again this season, with the £3.5million spent on Scott Sinclair the highest transfer fee paid.
The Bhoys has unearthed some fantastic players over the years and both Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk were signed by Southampton for hefty prices.
Moussa Dembele, who joined the Scottish giants last summer, has also added his name to this list after scoring 32 goals and providing seven assists in his debut season.
The forward is being tracked by a number of teams, including Premier League champions-elect Chelsea, and bids of around £40m are expected to come in at the end of the campaign.
Celtic are expected to continue their search far and wide in the next window but Congerton says he will also be keeping an eye on targets closer to home.
"We will be looking worldwide but we can't forget our roots and Scotland, Ireland and the rest of the UK are very important for us," he told the club's official website.
"But we'll be looking everywhere for talent that fits what Celtic is about."
