Harding signs new four-year Blues deal
Birmingham defender Wes Harding has signed a new four-year contract with the club.
The 21-year-old, who broke into the first team last season and signed a new two-year deal in February, will stay at St Andrew’s until at least 2022.
‘Manager Garry Monk has moved to secure the defender’s future, with a second fresh deal in six months,’ Blues said on their official website.
‘This is a longer agreement, until June 2022, and replaces the contract that was negotiated just after the turn of the year.’
Right-back Harding made his first-team debut as a substitute in the Carabao Cup in August and his league debut in a 3-0 win against Hull in February.
He made 11 appearances in total last season and was named the club’s young player of the season.
