McEachran on trial with Blues
Birmingham have confirmed former Chelsea and Brentford midfielder Josh McEachran is on trial with the club.
McEachran has been without a club since leaving the Bees during the summer and Birmingham have offered him a chance to impress during a trial period at St Andrew’s. He figured for the Blues’ Under-23s during their Professional Development League clash with Bristol City on Monday.

The 26-year-old was on the pitch for 68 minutes of the 1-0 defeat and will now be hoping to earn a further chance to impress over the coming weeks.
The former England Under-21 international began his career with Chelsea and went on to make 22 appearances across all competitions for the Premier League club, while he also spent time on loan at Swansea, Middlesbrough, Watford, Wigan and Vitesse prior to joining Brentford on a permanent basis in 2015.
McEachran went on to feature over 100 times for the Bees, including 24 outings in the Championship last term, but was released by Thomas Frank at the end of last season.
Birmingham is the second Championship club McEachran has been on trial at since becoming a free agent. He also spent time with Sheffield Wednesday during the summer although he was unable to earn a contract with the Owls.
