Former Premier League midfielder George Boateng becomes Blackburn youth coach
Former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough midfielder George Boateng has been appointed a youth coach at Blackburn.
The 43-year-old ex-Holland international will predominantly take charge of Rovers’ under-13 side.
‘I’m absolutely delighted to be taking on this new role,’ Boateng told the club website.
‘It’s a great environment here at Rovers to start my coaching career in England. The philosophy and style of football here is what I believe in, so that made my decision quite an easy one.’
