Cardiff close in on Grabban deal

Cardiff City

Cardiff City are reportedly close to agreeing a permanent deal for Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

The Bluebirds have been in talks with the 29-year-old, who has been told by Cherries boss Eddie Howe he can leave the Vitality Stadium this month, and he is expected to make the switch to the Cardiff City Stadium in the next few days.

It appears the Welsh outfit have beaten a host of other Championship sides to his signature with Bristol City, Wolves, Fulham, Aston Villa, and Middlesbrough all previously linked with the forward.

Grabban returned from an impressive loan spell at Sunderland last week, where he hit 12 goals in 20 games, and he will hope to revive his career at Cardiff if, as expected, the move is rubber-stamped soon.
