The Cottagers have struggled to cope with domestic and European exertions this season, picking up just their third league victory on Monday night.
Clint Dempsey’s last-gasp goal earned Fulham a 1-0 win against the Reds and Jol hopes they can build on that result at the Liberty Stadium.
“We needed that win,” the Dutchman said. “It is not easy to play against Liverpool and before the match you probably think a point [would be good]. They were on a very good run and they are very well organised defensively so to have a win against them was what we needed. We are in a better position now and I think that even in the games before we should have had [similar results].
“Every game is different but I feel we have the quality. Swansea are an attacking team and play in a different style. They may have lost to Blackburn last week, but they managed to score goals despite that. You can compare them to Blackpool last year and how they played for the first six months.
“It is not easy to play against them but I feel over the past six weeks we have controlled other teams even when they played in a different system. We still played our football so we are very positive.”
Pedro stepped off the bench to send Chelsea into the FA Cup semi-finals after they beat Leicester 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Sunday evening.
RB Leipzig came from behind at the Red Bull Arena to end a run of four winless games and defeat Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich 2-1 on Sunday.
