The Saints look set to part company with current boss Mauricio Pellegrino at the end of the season after an underwhelming campaign and Jokanovic’s name is thought to be on a list of potential replacements.
Having taken Watford to promotion to the Premier League in 2015, the Serbian has put himself in position to take another club up with Fulham sat in the play-off places after a strong start to 2018.
Jokanovic admits it is nice to be wanted by a club from the top tier but claims he will be giving little thought to a move as he attempts to secure promotion for the Cottagers.
‘I am so busy here and thinking about the game ahead with my team,’ Jokanovic told Get West London.
‘In general we talking about some top opinion, positive or negative, if somebody is talking about myself in the future, it can be great news for myself.
‘But at this moment, I am so busy to thinking about gossip and about other teams.
‘I have enough here where I am right now and I must be focused and concentrate for myself.’
Newcastle have been linked with a shock move for former Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet during the summer.
