The 27-year-old has struggled to come by first team chances since joining Fulham from Darlington in 2008, making just 23 appearances.
It has been a struggle for the keeper to try and usurp Mark Schwarzer from the number one spot after the Australian veteran has been a mainstay between the sticks since he joined from Middlesbrough in 2008.
Stockdale has spent time on loan with Rotherham, Leicester, Plymouth and Ipswich since he was brought in to Craven Cottage.
Goalkeeping coach Hans Segars believes he may have to go out on loan again if he is interested in playing on a regular basis.
“As you know it always depends on other clubs as well,” the Dutchman told the Chronicle.
“If there’s no interest and no other clubs come in [you can’t do anything]. With Neil [Etheridge] it was different.
“If there is a club coming in for Stockdale we can think about it, but at the moment there’s no other club involved.”
Stockdale signed a new long-term deal with Fulham last year that ties him to the club until 2015, but hasn’t featured for the Whites since back in February.
