Green lands Leeds extension

Goalkeeper Rob Green has earned a 12-month extension with Leeds after activating an appearance-related clause in his existing deal.

The 37-year-old penned a one-year deal with the Whites after leaving Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season and has established himself as the No.1 at Elland Road.

The former England international kept his 14th clean sheet of the Championship campaign against Brighton on Saturday as Leeds stayed on track for a play-off spot with a 2-0 win over the Seagulls.

Having made 39 appearances for the Yorkshire outfit, Leeds have now confirmed Green has earned himself a one-year extension after activating a clause in his contract.
