Holden wants Robins to focus on Blades

Assistant head coach Dean Holden says Bristol City's challenge is to stay focused on the next match after another exciting cup draw.

The Robins were drawn away to Watford in the FA cup third round on Monday in a repeat of the Carabao Cup second-round tie that saw City be victorious at Vicarage Road back in August.

But, with a quarter-final tie in that competition against Manchester United also on the horizon, Holden recognises the squad must keep their focus on this Friday’s crunch Championship clash with promotion rivals Sheffield United.

When asked about the FA Cup draw, Holden told BCTV: “There are a lot of games before before then and there is a different cup game on the horizon as well.

“The challenge as coaching staff now is to keep the players focussed for every game and this season the payers have been very good at that. They have been able to get past one performance and quickly focus on the next one.

“When it comes around it will be a tough game. It’s away from home against a Premier League side but we have already been there and got a good result previously so from a mindset point of view, I’m sure the younger players from the night will have good memories.”
