The Tigers are currently sixth in the npower Championship, only three points away from the automatic promotions places, and Hobbs believes the squad’s willingness to work for each other is a large reason for their success.
“The characters we have in the squad, everyone is willing to work hard for each other,” he told the Hull Daily Mail.
“We haven’t got any egos in this squad and that’s what we base our success on. The defending comes from the front, all the way from Matty (Fryatt) and Aaron (Mclean) through the midfield and they help to ease the burden on us.”
Hobbs has formed a strong centre-back partnership with James Chester with the pair featuring in all of Hull’s games so far.
“It’s great to have a settled back four, we’re all very used to each other now,” he added. “Chezzy has been outstanding and we’ve really grown as a partnership.”
