Hull to challenge Huddlestone ban

Hull City

Hull City have confirmed they have appealed against Tom Huddlestone’s red card from Saturday’s encounter with Everton.

The Yorkshire outfit face the prospect of losing their midfield general for the next three Premier League outings against West Ham United, Middlesbrough and Manchester City.

Huddlestone was shown a straight red card for his challenge on Everton’s Idrissa Gueye in the 73rd minute of the contest at Goodison Park, a decision that led to the Tigers suffering their heaviest defeat of Marco Silva’s reign at the club.

Hull are determined to see the 30-year-old’s suspension reduced and have decided to appeal the red card shown by referee Paul Tierney and hear the result of their plea before the end of the week.
