Leeds eye McCormack reunion

Leeds United

Leeds are interested in re-signing Ross McCormack as part of a £7million swoop on Aston Villa for the striker and Tommy Elphick.

The Whites are said to be weighing up an approach for their former hitman, who scored 53 goals in 114 appearances at Elland Road before leaving for Fulham in 2014.

The Scot’s career has not quite panned out as he would have liked since leaving Leeds and the 31-year-old is currently on loan at Australian side Melbourne City, where he has netted 14 goals in 16 games.

McCormack’s loan deal expires this week and the Whites are keen to table an early bid for the striker, who is valued at £4.5million by Villa.

A move for McCormack would be part of a double deal with the Villians, according to reports, the Yorkshire outfit having also earmarked defender Elphick as a possible January addition.
