Luton have the tools to survive – McManaman
Winger Callum McManaman is confident Luton can survive in the Championship despite making a poor start.
Luton, who were playing non-league football in 2013-14, earned promotion to the Championship for the first time since 2006-07 last season.
They have struggled to adapt to the step up in level, winning just four of their 15 outings and sit two points clear of the relegation zone in 21st.
A 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday was their fourth in the last five games and has left many questioning whether or not they have what it takes to beat the drop.
But McManaman isn’t in that camp and has stressed that time is on their hands as they look to defy the odds.

McManaman told Dunstable Today: “I don’t think the lads have been talking about it, you’ve just to keep looking up and keep staying positive.
“It’s a good squad, we know we’re good enough and we’ve got the right mentality to get out, so I wouldn’t say it’s all doom and gloom. It’s still early on in the season.”
Luton have the opportunity to pick up a much-needed win when they return to action on Saturday against Reading at the Madejski Stadium.
