Millwall ace Wallace targets Blackburn scalp
Millwall winger Jed Wallace says he is eyeing a first away victory of the season when his side make the trip to Blackburn on Saturday.
The Lions have started their Championship season in decent fashion, taking nine points from six games to sit 12th in the table, but only two of those points have come away from The Den.
Neil Harris’ men have lost one and drawn two of their three league encounters on the road, although they did manage to record an away success in the EFL Cup, beating West Brom 2-1 before losing at Oxford United in the second round.
Millwall make the trip to Ewood Park on Saturday to take on Blackburn, who are five places and two points worse off than their opponents, and 25-year-old Wallace is gunning for the win.
He told the club’s official website: “Blackburn is a difficult place to go. They’ve not had the best of starts, but this League is so competitive and there are so many good players, first and foremost, we’ll have to go there and be difficult to beat.
“The sooner we can get the away victory off our back – that has bothered us for the last couple of years – it will really push us on.”
