Neil denies Naismith fallout

Norwich boss Alex Neil has insisted he has not left Steven Naismith out of his squad recently due to any kind of bust up.
The 30-year-old has not made the matchday squad for the last three of the Canaries' games, while also recently being linked with a January move to Sunderland.
The failure of the Scotland international to break into Neil's plans this season has come as a surprise after the Norwich chief said he planned to build his attack around Naismith when he joined for £8million from Everton in January.
Naismith's lack of action now Norwich are in the Championship has lead to suggestions the pair have fallen out but Neil says that is not true, insisting he is just out of form at the minute.
“Steven Naismith’s fine, I’ve not had any issues with Steven Naismith, people make more of things then what they actually are,” Neil said.
“The reality’s pretty boring so nobody really wants to talk about that so what they want to do is make out some sort of fallout but the bottom line is last week we’ve picked up nine points and the lads have played really well.
“Steven unfortunately wasn’t involved in that but he’s been in all of the squads so, he might be involved in the next one and it’s up to him to go and play as well as he can to go and put himself into my mind for the team.”
