Striker undergoes surgery

Norwich City

Norwich will be without Grant Holt for the final two games of the League One season after undergoing an operation.

It’s been revealed that the Canaries’ top goalscorer had key-hole surgery on his ankle earlier this week, forcing him to miss the matches against Bristol Rovers and Carlisle.

Boss Paul Lambert was keen for Holt to have the operation as soon as possible to make certain he will be fully fit for next season’s Championship campaign.

Lambert revealed: “Grant’s ankle has been cleaned up and it went fine. We’ve done this now so he is ready for pre-season training.”
