Forest linked with Spurs youngster

Tottenham new boy Jack Clarke has hailed the influence of Mauricio Pochettino and believes he will move his game on to another level.

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a January move for Tottenham winger Jack Clarke.

Clarke joined Spurs in a reported £10million deal from Leeds United in July and was sent back on loan to Elland Road for the 2019-20 season.

The 18-year-old winger has struggled for game time with the Whites since his return on a temporary deal and hasn’t managed a single minute of Championship action.

Clarke has played twice in the EFL Cup but it is thought Tottenham are considering recalling him from his loan stint in January in order to find a new home for the forward for the rest of the season in the hope he will get more chances.

It remains to be seen if there will be any complications in terms of Spurs cancelling the loan as that was a part of the deal that saw him make the move to Tottenham in the first place, although reports in London indicate Mauricio Pochettino’s men do have an option in place.

Forest have now been mentioned as potential suitors but they are likely to face competition for the York-born starlet, who managed two goals in 22 Championship appearances for Leeds last season.

It is thought there is further interest from the Championship in the Spurs youngster and any interested party may have to offer assurances over game time to get a deal over the line in the January transfer window.
