Gers target PNE striker

Preston North End

Preston striker Louis Moult is being linked with a sharp return to Scotland with Rangers said to be lining up a summer bid.

Preston North End won the race to sign the striker in the January transfer window, but it has been a slow start to life at Deepdale and he has made just three starts for Alex Neil’s side.

That has kicked off reports suggesting that Rangers will try to sign the former Motherwell striker once again after missing out in the January window.

The Light Blues have recently managed to tie Alfredo Morelos down to a new deal but a new striker remains on their wanted list and reports north of the border say Moult is a target.

However, North End have not given up hope of Moult being a success and are likely to knock back all offers at the end of the season.
