Robins target Robin Lod

Bristol City are understood to be tracking Panathinaikos' Finland midfielder Robin Lod, who scored two against Estonia on Thursday.

Reports in Belgium claim Standard Liege are also big fans of the 24-year-old, who is set to fall out of contract at the Greek club in the summer.

City, currently fourth in the Championship, are looking to strengthen in the January transfer window to bolster their promotion prospects and Lod could be a shrewd addition.

Lod scored a brace in Finland's 3-0 friendly win over Estonia in Helsinki on Thursday and now has three international goals in 20 appearances.

The former HJK Helsinki player was named as Player of the Year for the Veikkausliiga in 2014 and has also previously been honoured as Finland's best midfield player and the best player of the Under-21 side.
