The Terriers suffered their first home defeat of the season on Sunday as Wednesday secured a 1-0 win.
Schindler refused to be too downbeat after the loss and he is confident they can return to winning ways at Deepdale on Wednesday.
“You don’t have much time to dwell on the previous game, good or bad,” the 26-year-old told the Huddersfield Examiner.
“Immediately you must focus on the next challenge, and for us, that is Preston.”
Schindler, who joined Huddersfield in a £1.8million move from 1860 Munich in the summer, says the Championship provides a “busier schedule” than he had during his time in his native Germany but he is enjoying the challenge.
The centre-half feels Huddersfield need to continue working hard if they are to remain in the promotion picture but is confident they can overcome North End.
He added: “We need to keep working hard.
“The Preston match provides us with a big opportunity.”
