Bullen reveals slight transfer interest

Sheffield Wednesday

Caretaker boss Lee Bullen says there have been "sniffs" of interest in some of Sheffield Wednesday's younger players.

Although unable to sign new players, Wednesday can still allow players to leave permanently or on loan with the transfer window still open in other divisions at home and abroad.

Former Wales Under-21 international Morgan Fox has been a target for League One outfit Sunderland but an exit has been ruled out for the 25-year-old, who has been at Hillsborough since joining from Charlton in 2017.

However, Bullen has confirmed there is interest in some of the younger players at the club although there have been no concrete offers made for those individuals.

“(For a) couple of younger ones there’ve been sniffs (of interest) from other clubs,” he told Sheffield Wednesday’s official Facebook page ahead of the Owls’ EFL Cup visit to Rotherham United.

“Lower league and Scotland are still able to take people. There’s a couple of sniffs for one or two of our younger players, but other than that, no.”
