Wood - Monk must get time at Leeds

Chris Wood has given his full backing to Leeds boss Garry Monk but warned he needs to be given plenty of time in the job to succeed.
Monk took over at Elland Road in the summer and has so far had a mixed time in terms of results and performances with the Whites 15th in the Championship after eight games.
Things appear to be looking up, however, as Monk's side have won their last three games and Wood says it is clear the former Swansea boss is getting the club moving in the right direction but he needs time for his work to bear fruit.
"In my opinion, there should never be any pressure on this manager," Wood told the Yorkshire Post. "He has come in and done a fantastic job and changed a lot of players and the backroom staff has changed and we are trying a whole new philosophy.
"It is going to take time and we are building. We are not the finished article, far from it. But we are building in the right direction, that is the main thing."
He added: "It was never going to take two months of a season. It is going to take six months. But you want to see progress early on and that is what we have done and now we have to keep that going and add more ideas that he is bringing to us every week."
