Chelsea have been chasing the Brazilian ace all summer but Real Madrid had initially knocked back all offers as they were determined to keep hold of the player.
However, the Spanish giants have now relented after Robinho made it clear he wanted to join Luiz Felipe Scolari at Stamford Bridge and a deal is now on the verge of going through.
"The deal is about to be reached," his agent Wagner Ribeiro revealed. "Robinho's cycle in Spain has come to an end and he is looking forward to a new project."
Chelsea are reported to have agreed a £28million fee for the player.
